Seeds for peace in the middle east?

Hay all!
I've tried to post a this before, but for some reason, it didn't registrar and folks couldn't read what I had written. So, I'm going to attempt to write it out again and hopefully this time, we'll have more responses,

Ok, so...a little info and background. I'm in Israel, and working on a project out here to grow herbs for the community. Also, wanting very much to have a program available for kids and their parents to learn about plants and how they communicate with us on all levels. It's really something that isn't being done here and I would like to bring this opportunity to light. I need some help. That's way i'm writing this request. We have a few green houses, so climate is not an issue. We need seeds! All different kinds, but organic. Herbs and winter vegetables.

The list for herbs:Elder flowers ,Yarrow ,Sage ,Rose hips ,Echinacea,Mullein,Astragalus,
Poke Root,Elecampane ,Thyme.

We are asking for 30 seeds each be sent to Israel.
We are asking for donations, since this project can really use all the help it can get and we really don't have the funds to get these seeds. Also, we request that the seeds are from your own garden and collected by you. It's a beautifal thing to know that the seeds that we are receiving are from people who cared for these plants and havested the seeds themselves. There is a story there and it makes it interesting to explain where these seeds came from and who cared for them. We like telling it this way.

Our request for organic Veggie seeds:
Celery ,Chinese leaves ,Dark greens ,Leeks ,Mushrooms, Squashes ,Winter roots ,Winter salads.

If it's not too much trouble to send the seeds with labels so we know what is what.

If you have any questions please feel to send me a message.
Thanks so much for helping us with this project. I mean a lot to us and the many people who's lives will be changed by your seeds.

If you are interested, please let me know and I can give out the address of where to send the seeds.

WindDance will be a freaky, funky, dance-till-u-drop weekend long campout @ the Woodlands in Mendocino, CA.
Presented by eCo-sound-system-productions (+ friends), and hopefully (if everything works out logistically and financially) full of sick djs and funky people like I and I, U, and So, and the rest of this crazy planet earth!

It is based on the many festivals that I go to...Raindance...Earthdance...Sierra Nevada World Music Fest...ROTR...the REAL GOODS PARTY, and the many other camps that already go on @ the woodlands.

EXCEPT THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT... in that it will be planned by a roots man w/ a degree in FORESTRY & NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT and a focus on SUSTAINABLE DESIGN)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY intention is to:
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE...COMPOST, and then RECYCLE some more !
use solar powar (where feasible...near the north coast) !
alt. fuels (e.g. biodiesel) !
Minimize cars, parking, traffic, air pollution, water pollution (through runoff/erosion and leaky vehicles) !
Encourage the sharing of ideas, art, and music, through shows, speeches, forums, &/or workshops!
Provide food and crafts from the many local companies that are doing wonderful things in the area (e.g. Mendo Mate, Thanksgiving Coffee, the Twist in Mendo [all online]).!
Feed people orgaincally, from small local suppliers, w/ the delicasies of Good Thyme Herb Co. and Catering (see online) needs a minimum # of ppl. committed. !
Donate a portion of the PROFIT to the Mendocino Woodlands volunteer and environmental education programs &/or road/camp improvement and erosion control projects !
Mitigate (a fancy word for reduce/eliminate) environmental impacts!
In short, make this a 'Leave No Trace Event' (see online),

I hope you all can dig it, and would appreciate any comments or contacts that you may have. As this is quickly becoming overwhelming for just 1lover, I would ask you all to get involved and start spreading the word. Please refer solid contacts directly to me, as opposed to sending me info that I must go & research.

new phat conductor tunes...

Just thought I'd drop a line to let you know what I've been working on lately...

Been spending most of my time working with my new band The Department of Motion. We are a 4 piece from Toronto consisting of myself on beats, bass, composition, production, etc.. Clara on vocals, Iain on guitars and bass, and the illustrious Stu doing the recording engineering. We should be ready to start doing live shows by the summer.

The first one I made for my girlfriend nunich for christmas (hence the covert living room samplings) the little short one is just getting started (to give you an idea what the process is like) it didn't have vocals or instrumental parts at that time. Then there's an as-yet-unnamed dubby tune, and this 15/8 time signature thing I did for Iain for Bravo (a canadian arts network) there's a video in the works. I can't wait.

I've been doing lots of breaks stuff lately too. I'll post about release dates when they are a bit closer. Most of this stuff is fr summer.

Deep in the mountains of British Columbia, thousands of freaks gather every year for the legendary Shambhala Music Festival, a feast beyond your imagination, it simply has to be experienced. I was lucky enough to be invited to play set at 4 am on the last night of the festival on a stage called the Fractal Forest: 12 projection screens, a laser spewing pyramid, more sound that you should probably ever assemble in one place, and a DJ booth built into a 30 foot tree stump. Here are some pictures, but they really don't do it justice. I will never EVER miss another year of this festival. It truly is mind blowing,

Seed of Life Stage- Opening ceremony

Hello all,

Byron has asked me to play the opening set on friday from 6-9pm at the Seed of Life stage (i believe it will be located behind the Portal stage), i will be providing a full sonic journey that will span the entire smattering of downtempo, from idm to ethnic dub. the opening ceremony will take place at 6pm sharp.

since i will be the opening act, i had in mind that i would also like to properly open the space by blessing it through an opening ceremony. i have asked my best friend, who is also the most loving person in the entire world, tracy to perform and to provide the blessings.

they are in the process of formation as we speak.

as this will be an opening ceremony, a group awareness activity will also be conducted. i hope to combine specific sound frequencies, intentional visualizations to channel universal energy through us and the space.

i believe that the earth has an energy that, we as conduits of light, can channel. with a bit of focus, intention and open hearts, we can heal anyone and anything.

creation in its purest form is love in its purest form.

i invite anyone with an open heart, mind and soul to be part of this opening.

What software is being used for the visualizations?

What are you guys using for the visualizations? Is it Arkaos? Im using Elektronika and a few others and would be up for trading hints and tips. Elektronika supports a lot more than the others but its a beast to run. You need a min 2ghz processor (Ive got a P4 3.0 with a half gig of vid memory and RAM respectively) and at least a base NVidea Gforce card. Unfortunately good luck getting that in Nelson and if you can its going to cost. Ive got a good online store for parts like dat if ure interested. Not a plug but its where I get my stuff. Also, Id say get a card that can support at least 2 monitors, 2 tv outs and at least 1 svideo. This app can do quite a bit. You'll have to learn it all on your own cause the documentation in English is hilarious and more confusing than helpful. Once you learn how to use it its really powerful. It does a lot more and you can also use its grabber function to capture an arkaos feed too.

Wow I sound like such a tech geek. But that's my verbalicious point/question wateva mootness.

So, many of you may be familiar with me from parties, fire performances, various sexual astrology posts, or pleas for rides between LA and San Francisco. So money, materials, laptops, transport, equipment (preferably attached to people who want to come and check it out) etc are all good. I'm aware that this is a long shot, but I want all those little places that have no clue what Burning man is all about to have their eyes opened, too. We coastal communities are lucky because we have information sources to enlighten us and open our eyes. I'd like the rest of North America to get that same chance.

Soon after in 1999 Pat was introduced to the world of live productions, remixing and mastering for major production labels such as Hydraulix, Maximum Minimum, Cluster, and Hard Signal Recordings.
His new studio lair ‘NepTune Studios’ has found him working beside such artists as Chris Liberator, Dave the Drummer, Andreas Kremer, DJ Android, DJ Pauze and many more diabolical individuals.
He has recently returned from the Brazillian electronic music scene with fresh samples and new rhythms.

Hey hey. Nice to see another Shambhala tribe start up! This is Colin, by the by. Planning to head down for Supercombobulated, so I might see you there, rich? I know I'll see Mr.Alex there :) Also, I'm playing the chill room @ Ice on Fire coming up in feb.

Anyways, that's all I guess. Oh, I'll also be out for shambhala a month before hand if I can swing it. Depends on the job situation, i guess ;)
